PARIS Cheap Nike Air Max 270 Men's Grape , July 2 (Xinhua) -- Germany's Marcel Kittel claimed his 10th stage victory in Sunday's second stage of the 2017 Tour de France, while reigning champion Christopher Froome sustained a crash shock with 30km to go before going back on track.


Froome's Team Sky teammate Geraint Thomas, also involved in the crash, kept the yellow jersey with a five-second advantage.


The 203.5km second stage, from Dusseldorf to Liege, featured 196 riders after Alejandro Valverde and Ion Izagirre pulled out during the inaugural time trial.


The heated contest just began from the gun, with a point of winning the best climber up for grabs around 6.5km into the race. Four riders kicked off the first breakaway, and Taylor Phinney snatched the first mountain point of the tournament.


The quartet once extended their lead from the peloton to nearly three and a half minutes, before that was shortened to two and a half minutes around 145km as riders left Germany for Belgium.


In an attempt to get closer to the leading group, however, the peloton were involved in a crash featuring around 20 riders, including Froome, Thomas and last year's runner-up Romain Bardet.


Thomas made quick response into the match, while things did not seem that easy for Froome.


With shorts shredded and backside skin scraped a bit, Froome had to change his bike twice before chasing the peloton for a 10km ride.


Phinney and Yoann Offredo, the most aggressive rider of the day, maintained their leading position while other two riders were caught by the peloton with 15km remaining.


The duo also got reeled in the last kilometer of the stage. Quick-Step Floors rider Kittel made his way to victory in the middle of the road to get past Sonny Colbrelli and Andre Greipel who led the charge on the left side.


Frenchman Arnaud Demare took the second position with Greipel on third.


Kittel also took on the 10-second bonus from the stage victory to cut the deficit against leaders Thomas within six seconds. He also wore the green jersey for the best sprinter on 63 points.


The polka dot jersey, representing the best climber, went to Phinney, who claimed points at two fourth-category climbing points.


BMC Racing's Stefan Kung, currently ranked second on overall individual standings, was the best young rider with a 20-second advantage in hand. Team Sky led the overall team standings, 37 seconds ahead of Quick-Step Floors.


The 212.5-kilometer third stage on Monday will start from Verviers, Belgium, winding through Luxembourg, to Longwy, France, with three fourth-category climbs and two third-category climbs.




Italy coach Antonio Conte has been cleared of accusations of sporting fraud following a hearing in Cremona, Italy on Monday at which prosecutors had requested a 6-month prison sentence, Italian media reports said.


Conte is now free to lead Italy at Euro 2016 before becoming Chelsea coach following the tournament's conclusion on July 10, according to reports on the website of sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport.


Conte, who has already served a 4-month ban in relation to the affair, had been accused of not reporting an -episode of match-fixing relating to a -Serie B match with AlbinoLeffe in May 2011 when he was coach of Siena.


The 46-year-old former Juventus coach has always denied any wrong-doing in an affair in which players allegedly colluded with underworld figures to fix matches and recoup the rewards of an illegal betting network.


A lawyer for Conte, Francesco Arata, said last month, "He's a total stranger to the betting world, and that's why he will be cleared by the judge."


Prosecutor Roberto di Martino, who had requested a 6-month sentence for Conte and a fine of 8,000 euros ($9,063), had also sought a 4-month prison term for Conte's former assistant at Siena, Angelo Alessio. He was also cleared.


Alessio, Conte's assistant during three title-winning seasons at Juventus and now with him at Italy, risked a 4-month sentence but was also -acquitted.


The affair, however, has yet to reach its conclusion and could see other former players including Beppe Signori - one of the top players in Serie A in his prime during a 5-year spell with Lazio - feel the full force of the law.


The report said "up to 90" people are involved, although Signori, Cristiano Doni, Gigi Sartor and Mauro Bressan - all former Serie A players - as well as current Lazio captain Stefano Mauri, are all in the dock facing accusations of transnational sporting fraud.




BEIJING， Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Investment in China's property sector picked up slightly with sales showing continued expansion， official data showed Tuesday.


Real estate investment rose 5.4 percent year on year in the first eight months of 2016， slightly higher than 5.3 percent registered during the January-July period， according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).


For residential properties， investment rose 4.8 percent year on year， accounting for 66.9 percent of investment in the sector.


Housing sales maintained steady growth. In terms of floor area， property sales jumped 25.5 percent in the first eight months，


By the end of August， 708.7 million square meters of property remained unsold in China， down by 5.12 million square meters from a month earlier.


China's property market has become increasingly diversified， with major cities reporting record prices and smaller cities struggling to shift the glut.


The split picture means the government must strike a balance between curbing asset bubbles in big cities and boosting sales in smaller cities.


At a press conference on Tuesday， NBS spokesperson Sheng Laiyun explained that cities will adopt differentiated policies to guide market expectations.
