NAIROBI， Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- A Kenyan woman rescued from Somali pirates days ago after about three years of captivity reunited with her family in the Kenyan capital Nairobi on Tuesday evening.


Louis Njoki was flown from Mogadishu， capital of Somalia， to her home in Nairobi.


Speaking to Xinhua at the Wilson Airport， her family member John Gitau commended the Somali government for its action that led to Njoki's rescue.


"We are delighted that she is finally at home. We have endured severe mental torture since her abduction，" said Gitau.


He said Njoki will undergo further medical tests to ascertain any threat to her health.


Njoki was captured along with her partner James Kuria by Somali pirates in 2014 while delivering medicine in Mogadishu.


Kuria was freed during a raid by Somali security forces in February last year.
