It is that time of year again. In Quebec July 1st is moving day. Approximately 120 air max 97 nere scontate ,000 families change homes on this day each year. This trend is more of a tradition than law. Over 36 years ago moving date was April 30th and then they realized that it disrupted children’s school schedule so the date was changed to July 1st. In many ways having this sort of unwritten moving date law helps landlords to plan and also tenants with their choice of apartments. The downside however is felt by pets. Apparently 50% of pet abandonment cases occur during the moving period. The reason for abandonment is usually because the new landlord does not accept pets and the family does not take responsibility to find a new home for the pet. When pets are left behind it causes a series of problems: – When left behind pets will get scared and thus are susceptible to do unpredictable things and can become a danger to humans and other animals – When stranded pets can catch diseases and become unsafe to humans and other animals – The volume of abandoned pets creates a burden on organizations such as the SPCA, Berger Blanc, etc. who often have to resort to euthanasia
