NANJING Air MAx 1 Shoes Sale , Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- A man suspected of sexually assaulting and killing a seven-year-old girl in east China's Jiangsu Province has been caught, police said on Wednesday.


The man, surnamed Wang, who allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted the girl on Friday, has been captured by police in Qiaotou Town of Jiangyan District, Taizhou City, according to the city's public security bureau.


The police said the suspect did not know the girl and his motive is still unknown.


The girl, a resident of Yangzhou City, went missing in a village in Taizhou City when she and her grandmother attended a relative's wedding ceremony there, said a spokesman from the bureau.


Her body was found at a nearby riverside on Monday. Further investigation is under way.


The case has shocked netizens in China. "How cruel the man is. Why did he kill an innocent girl? I want to know the reason," said a web user posting under the name Haituntutu at Chinese microblog site Sina Weibo.


"How to prevent such tragedies from happening again? It is a question schools and parents need to discuss together," said another Weibo user under the screen name Ouchen.

Katy Perry has been accused of racism after performing at the AMAs in traditional Japanese dress.


Fans took to twitter to vent their disgust after Roar singer Katy opened the LA awards wearing Japanese kimono with a full face of porcelain make-up.


The 29-year-old was accused of "appropriating Asian culture" with her performance of new single Unconditionally in a satin kimono, heavy eye make-up and traditional dance.


Other fans jumped to the Kiss A Girl singer's defence Katy pointing out that her costume could have been a nod to her huge Japanese fan base after visiting the country this year.


One fan said: "At least she was respectful of the culture. I'll give her that." Others described her performance as "wonderful".


It isn't the first time the singer has been accused of racism towards Asian cultures. Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel in June she sparked controversy when she spoke about Japanese culture: " I’m so obsessed with you [Japanese race] I want to skin you and wear you like Versace!"


Furious bloggers accused the star of mocking culture.


Katy said she was familiar with the culture after her family took in Japanese lodgers when she was growing up.

LONDON， Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Plans for tunnel under Stonehenge， a prehistoric monument and one of Britain's most famous landmarks， were unveiled Thursday.


Transport Secretary announced the tunnel scheme under Stonehenge， a Unesco World Heritage Site， as part of a 2 billion-pound project to solve traffic problems around the 25 square kilometer site.


Stonehenge， acknowledged as one of the wonders of the world， is the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe dating back more than 5，000 years.


English Heritage， the official cultural body which looks after the site， has welcomed the announcement as a "momentous decision."


The agency has been concerned about the tens of thousands of vehicles that thunder past Stonehenge every day.


It has complained that heavy traffic and constant noise from the road compromises enjoyment and understanding of the monument.
