JOHANNESBURG wholesale nike shox r4 , Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- At least one Chinese tourist was killed and an unidentified number of others injured when their bus collided with a van near Johannesburg on Wednesday, sources with a local travel agency said.
The bus, which was carrying a group of 20 Chinese tourists who arrived in Johannesburg earlier Wednesday, was on its way to Sun City in northwest of Johannesburg when the bukkie ran head-on with it, according to the Walk Through Africa Tours, a travel agency which arranged the tour.
A rescue team rushed to the scene and found that one tourist went missing.
A witness said he saw the tourist being sent by an ambulance to a nearby hospital. His conditions remained unknown.
Most of the tourists, some of them suffering minor injuries, were sent back to Johannesburg, said the source, who refused to be named.
Two witnesses at the scene said the bukkie collided with the bus when trying to overtake another vehicle on the road. It appeared that the driver was drunk.
It remained unknown whether the bukkie driver was injured or killed.
Police were still investigating the cause of the accident.
SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- An Indian border guard of Border Security Force (BSF) was wounded Saturday in a militant attack in restive Indian-controlled Kashmir, officials said.
The militants equipped with automatic rifles attacked convoy of border guards in Handwara of frontier Kupwara district, about 71 km northwest of Srinagar city.
"A BSF man was wounded today when militants opened fire on their convoy here," a police official posted in Handwara town said. "The BSF trooper has sustained bullet wound and was hospitalised immediately."
Following the attack militants managed to escape from the spot.
Locals said the attack triggered panic in the town. Huge contingents of police and paramilitary were rushed to the spot to carry out searches for the militants responsible for the attack, reports said.
On Thursday night militants attacked a police station in Karlgund area of the district. However, no damage was reported in the attack.
Two Indian policemen were killed and another wounded on Friday in a militant attack in Kulgam town, south of Srinagar.
