Bolivian President Evo Morales sent condolences and expressed solidarity in a tweet.


Ecuador also joined the chorus of condemnation over the attack, saying there is a "special pain caused by knowing that an important number of the victims are children and young people who had just begun to live."


"Ecuador defends the highest values of respect for human rights, fundamental liberties and rejects all forms of violence," said the Foreign Ministry.
