The Los Angeles Dodgers continued the re-shuffling of their infield, sending shortstop/second baseman Dee Gordon to the Miami Marlins for pitcher Andrew Heaney, according to reports. He was an all-star last season and led the MLB in stolen bases with 64. He is coming off of his first full season, where the speedster batted .289. Originally the Dodgers’ shortstop, Gordon was shifted to second base after the team acquired Hanley Ramirez in a trade. Heaney made his debut this season for Miami, going 0-3 with a 5.83 ERA in seven games, five of them starts. The 23-year-old was the Marlins’ first round selection (ninth overall) in the 2012 Draft. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the sale process has not been made public. Filling out the non-disclosure agreement would be the next step in providing interested groups full access to the Bills financial data in order to begin formulating bids.
